Evangelisches Werk für Diakonie und Entwicklung e.V. for Brot für die Welt through INTERFINi Consultants Limited

Project management support service to more than 20 Brot für die Welt partner organisations in Tanzania. The support is provided under a four-year (2019-2022) framework agreement (currently extended for one year to cover 2023) and is focusing on the outcome and impact Orientation in project planning (proposal development), monitoring and evaluation.

CEFA (European Committee for Training and Agriculture)

Development of gender and youth inclusion, and nutrition training materials and facilitation of the training sessions to more than 200 representatives from 39 tea-based cooperatives in Southern Highlands Regions. Gender and youth inclusion training was for five weeks, while nutrition was for 12 days.

Policy Forum

Since 2018, support has been provided on the development of Councillors’ Training Module on Social Accountability Monitoring (and designed an approach for mainstreaming the modules into existing Full Council Sessions); facilitate yearly Social Accountability Partner Reflection Session; Advocacy Training for Members of Budget and Local Governance Working Groups; Evaluation of the Social Accountability Councillors’ Training in 4 District of Mafinga, Kiteto, Kilwa and Mafia; Evaluation of the Budget Working Group and the Local Governance Working Group; Development of a Participatory Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Strategy; and Train Policy Forum Secretariat and Members on evidence-based advocacy through systematically documenting processes and results of Policy Forum’s initiatives through effective utilization of the Participatory Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Strategy. In 2022, Jidi also started a two-year support for the implementation of the Education Out loud Project with a role of building advocacy and engagement capacity to Rural Youths in 3 districts and co-production, monitoring and documentation of the advocacy initiatives for addressing learning outcomes.

Since 2018, five projects have been supported including: three evaluation work (Early Childhood Development Project, Public-Private Partnership Project for Small-scale Youth-Led Sanitation Business, and Youth and Private Sector Engagement in Sustainable Food Security and Livelihood Improvement); Operational Research for Accelerating Stunting Reduction Program (ASRP) focusing on Assessment of Drivers and Barriers Influencing Pregnant Women (PW) and Caregivers’ Participation in Counselling Sessions in Mbeya Region; Documentation of Integrating Care for Child Development (CCD) Intervention into Health Facilities and Pre-Primary Satellite Schools in Mbeya and Mbarali District Councils in Mbeya Region.

Support 4 regions (Kigoma, Iringa, Songwe, Mbeya and Njombe) to develop Communication Plan and Key Messages as part of the process for operationalization of the National Plan of Action to End Violence against Women and Children. The process included strengthen Regional and District Community Development Officers and Social Welfare skills in addressing social norm that perpetrate GBV.
